Ms. Callantine is a partner whose practice primarily involves representing insurers (and, occasionally, policyholders) in coverage disputes, including litigation over alleged bad-faith claims handling and contribution actions between insurers. Ms. Callantine also provides insurers with coverage opinions, represents them in appraisal proceedings, and assists with handling suspected fraudulent claims. Ms. Callantine is experienced in both property and casualty claims under policies ranging from personal lines homeowners and automobile policies to complex commercial lines policies. As a Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Callantine is often asked to assist with claims and lawsuits involving complex business interruption losses or other complicated accounting issues.

Ms. Callantine is a frequent lecturer on insurance-related topics. She is a Vice Chair of the Property Insurance Law Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, and she was recently appointed to the Section’s Task Force on Disaster Insurance Coverage. Ms. Callantine also serves as a volunteer panelist for the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Early Settlement Program.

Ms. Callantine received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 1985. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1991. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
