Business Litigation
CPW attorneys have handled trials, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations in all types of business disputes. Our cases have included not only traditional commercial contract disputes, but also claims involving fraud and other types of business torts. We have represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving the misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of non-competition agreements when, for example, a new business has spun off from an established business. In some cases, we have helped our clients prosecute or defend claims of unfair competition or violation of the state and federal antitrust laws. We also have handled disputes between individuals and business entities involving the breach of fiduciary duties, minority shareholder rights, and partnership dissolution. Our experience spans many industries including banking, computer hardware and software, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, Internet-based businesses, telecommunications, gaming, import-export, and real estate development.
