Renée Callantine
Renée Callantine is a partner who has represented insurers for over a decade. Her primary emphasis is defending insurers in bad faith actions, up through and including trials. She handles litigation involving property and casualty coverage issues, claim handling and other institutional issues raised with increasing frequency in recent years, as well as claims of extra-contractual and punitive damages. Ms. Callantine also represents insurers in coverage litigation and contribution actions. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Callantine assists insurers in a variety of other matters, including analyzing coverage issues and providing advice, conducting examinations under oath, representing insurers at appraisal proceedings, and assisting with suspected fraudulent claims. Ms. Callantine is a Certified Public Accountant, and this background and experience makes her particularly valuable to insurers who are faced with complex business interruption losses or other complicated accounting issues.
Ms. Callantine received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 1985. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1991. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
