Real Estate & Construction

CPW attorneys handle many different types of real estate matters including private boundary disputes, land use issues, residential and commercial lease actions, unlawful detainer cases, real estate sales and nondisclosure claims, broker negligence claims, partnership disputes and complex disputes resulting from failed development projects.

We also advise owners regarding state and federal real estate claims arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and the federal Fair Housing Act and defend them in litigation alleging violations of these laws.

In the construction context, we represent owners, lenders, and contractors in various construction disputes including design defect claims, delay and disruption claims, change orders, liens and stop notices, surety issues, and terminations.

We also draw on our insurance experience to advise owners, contractors, managers and others on insurance coverage questions.
